Gio Ponti Sideboard, from the 'Modern Singer' Series. Manufactured by Singer & Sons, New York, Chicago, USA. A stunning piece of furniture with great collectibility value.  Circa 1950 walnut and brass details. Drawer interior with manufacturer's plastic label M/SINGER/& SONS/NEW YORK-CHICAGO. Together with a certificate of authenticity from the Gio Ponti Archives.

  • The Design / Brand

    Giovanni "Gio" Ponti (18 November 1891 – 16 September 1979) was an Italian architect and industrial designer, furniture designer, artist, teacher, writer and publisher.  During his career, spanning over six decades, Ponti built more than a hundred buildings in Italy and throughout the the world. He designed a considerable number of decorative art and design objects as well as furniture.
