Pierre Paulin Anneau Chair and Ottoman by Ligne Roset

£2,100.00 £1,600.00

LOT 1322

Description

Anneau is a chair designed by Pierre Paulin from the 2010 Ligne Roset collection. It combines a simple ring base and a seat that seems to be floating.

Anneau is evocative of Paulin’s “fauteuil 780,” also known as “Concorde.” One of his last creations, Anneau redefines the concept of the traditional lounge chair.

The webbed suspension on the seat and back lie above a sculptural and sensual cast aluminum base, linked only by a doubled steel ring, resulting in a much lighter, almost ethereal design.

It was in homage to this legendary designer, that Ligne Roset re-christened this chair “Anneau,” which means “ring” in French. Base in satin black lacquered cast aluminium. Removable covers.

Fabric CODA116 Pale cream and red. Both items are like new, with some minor wear to lacquer on the small round tips of the ottoman as shown in photo.
