Description

2 x beautiful 1950's Gio Ponti style arm chairs, with rare Kvadrat x Raff Simmons limited edition fabric upholstery. We are unsure who designed the chairs themselves, however the dealer we sourced them from confirmed they where c1950's, Gio Ponti inspired. They originally came with a red velvet upholstery, which we had professionally reupholstered with rare Kvadrat x Raff Simmons limited edition fabric. Fabric is in 'Like New' condition, with some wear to the legs, as pictured. Sold as lot of 2x. Height Max: 110cm Depth Max: 75cm Width Max: 80cm (Arm to arm) Width: 68cm (Top, corner to corner) Legs: 15cm Floor to seat: 30cm Seat to top: 80cm

    Giovanni "Gio" Ponti (18 November 1891 – 16 September 1979) was an Italian architect and industrial designer, furniture designer, artist, teacher, writer and publisher.  During his career, spanning over six decades, Ponti built more than a hundred buildings in Italy and throughout the the world. He designed a considerable number of decorative art and design objects as well as furniture
