Description
DC Bed from CECCOTTI COLLEZIONI, Italy, originally designed by Vincenzo De Cotiis in 2008. This charming bed was acquired in 2017 directly from CECCOTTI COLLEZIONI, Italy, and faintly displayed but never used as part of a high-end property makeover staging in 2018 and since then it has been placed at Gander and White for secured storage.
The inspiration for the design comes from traditional Japanese futons, with a contemporary twist. The headboard and the large bed frame, in solid wood, are padded with non-deformable differentiated-density polyurethane foam. Both are then covered with polyester fibre and upholstered in leather.
The bed base, with beechwood staves, is larger than the futon: this creates a light, alluring floaty effect. The addition of metallic parts in burnished brass embellishes the overall effect and luxury. https://www.ceccotticollezioni.it/en/products/dc-bed/ Mattress not included.

The Ceccotti Collezioni story heralds from Ceccotti Aviero, a company founded in 1956, specializing in the production of residential furniture and later in supplying hotels.The company collaborated with some of the most prestigious hotel groups in the world, Trusthouse Forte from London, Sheraton and Ciga, giving an international application to the traditional artisan workmanship of the Tuscan town of Cascina, nestled between Florence and Pisa, where the company is based.
From the ‘School of Art’ in Cascina came the designers and skilled craftsmen who developed an artisanal culture in furniture making and wood processing. The company continues to grow, inspired by the countless collaborations that determines its development and expansion.
