This table is an icon of the Danish Modern Era. It's been highly praised for both it's design & function.

It's is very good condition. I'm sad I'm having to part with it. This set comes with four chairs. The chairs are 3-legged chairs and integrate neatly into the table when not in use so as to form part of the skirt. It's a striking statement piece and is Ideal for smaller dining area's where space is an issue.

The Danish designer created his own identity amidst the traditional Danish modern school. Born in 1919 in Denmark, Hans Olsen (1919-1992) was a Danish furniture designer who created many pieces in his own distinctive style. He continued studies at the Royal Danish Academy under the famous designer Kaare Klint from 1941 to 1943. He opened his own studio in 1953 and began exhibiting work at the Cabinetmakers Guild in Copenhagen. He is not considered part of the traditional Danish modern school but has made pieces for some of the well-known Danish makers such as Bramin Møbler and Juul Kistensen.
