LOT 291bThe Labanca sofa designed by Lievore Altherr Molina for Tacchini. A Multifunctional leading-edge design distinguishes this style, intended to enhance spaces with an international sense of decor that tends to the unique and minimalist. The clean lines and elegant proportions spell simplicity and sophistication. The light-as-air sofa is formed by a self-supporting seat upon which a gently slanted backrest is delicately perched. The sofa creates a colourful geometric shape with upholstery in Cold Yellow. A perfect fit for public and private spaces and rooms of various sizes.
Antonio Tacchini established his brand in 1965 in Brianza, the world-renowned cabinet-making district near Milan. His sons inherited the company that has become like a family, embracing all the people, from designers to craftsmen, who work there. In constant evolution, Tacchini celebrates the Italian crafting tradition with the quality of its materials and attention to detail in every step of the production process, while also being deeply involved in environmental sustainability.
Alberto Lievore was born in 1948 and studied architecture in Buenos Aires. In the early years he focused not only on design, but also on the production and marketing of furniture, then, having moved to Barcelona, he was part of the Grupo Berenguer (1977), a leading name in Spanish design. In 1984 he inaugurated his own studio, focusing on industrial design, and on consultancy and art direction for a number of firms including Tacchini.
