LOT 03763A pair of bespoke Planter's chairs made to order in Sussex workshop which also manufacturers for designer brands. Traditional planter's frame in stained and lacquered beech, upholstered in orange and grey pure wool fabric (Eleanor Pritchard, Belmont). The arms have old pennies inlaid and swing out to be used as leg resets. Loving this style of chair and not being able to source a superior quality "modern" take on one, I commissioned one instead. That led to a handful being made and sold in the US.
These two are effectively new, though made about 5 years ago, as they have spent most of their time in storage pending building work on an extension at home. They haven't been used.
There will be tiny scuffs here or there as we have moved them around also where the arms swing in\out, mostly imperceptible. We have now gone for a different colour scheme hence selling these. These chairs are for inside only and perfect for a conservatory, garden room, living room, reading nook or even a large bedroom (who has a library these days?! :D) We have ours positioned under a skylight in our garden facing extension and can sit inside and warm, but still "in the sunshine" for much of the year, reading or simply relaxing.
They are solid and do need some space. Measurements are Length 119cm, Width 64cm, Height 89cm, the Length with arms extended is 163cm. I love them because they are a perfect blend of traditional, the curve of the chairs is really beautiful but the zing of the fabric is very modern and gives them an edge.
